DUKE GROSS (Taping Superintendent): “I was doing a job out at Grandview. I demo’d the product and I was very surprised.
With regular corner bead I was using about 5 pallets of mud just to coat and finish the corner bead. After I used NO-COAT®, I was breaking it in half - 2 ½ pallets of mud to finish the corner bead. So, when you compute that, 2 ½ pallets of mud, you’ve got to compute the time you’re saving to put that mud on. On that floor, I was saving actually 20% of my labor, on that floor, using that product, using NO-COAT®. I was very shocked, very shocked.
Once I started doing that, through that job, I probably started halfway through that tower, we probably saved 20% over the whole job, a good 20% of labor.”

GEORGE GROSS (Supervisor): “We just finished a tower in here with 600 rooms in it, and I would say we saved - just on the material end alone - we saved over 1200 boxes of mud. Just on that tower. Just by using NO-COAT®.”

GEORGE GROSS (Supervisor): “The part I like about it is, it’s so much quicker. The speed.”
DUKE GROSS (Taping Superintendent): “The material. No blisters. It’s very user-friendly. It’s easy to put on. It’s ten times easier putting it on than Clinch-On bead. You put on a piece of Clinch-On bead, and you try to clinch it to a corner that’s got a bad, that’s not hung correctly, this product, you can go right over it. With a piece of Clinch-On, half the time I can’t get it to clinch on. And it wants to fall off, cause there’s nothing there to bite to. This bites on, I don’t care how bad they hang that corner, this product (NO-COAT®) is going to stick, and it’s going to stay there.”
GEORGE GROSS (Supervisor): “It’s just like going from powdered mud to vinyl, and going from a hammer and nails to a screw gun. To me, it’s turned the trade around. As far as speed goes, the quality and the money you save by using it.”
DUKE GROSS (Taping Superintendent): “The best positive impact? I save time and money. That‘s the best positive impact. You go to any company and say ‘I’m going to save you this amount of time, and this amount of money’ using NO-COAT®? You can’t lose.”
GEORGE GROSS (Supervisor): “One thing,you don’t get a round corner, you get a sharp corner. Especially if you’re doing intricate work, like casino work. You know, real high end [stuff] where people are going to see it. I mean, it gives you a better looking job. Because corner bead is round. This is sharp. It’s makes a better looking job.”
DAVID GROSS (Finisher): “Now if this (holds up a stick of NO-COAT®) was a piece of metal corner bead, (bends the stick in half) you could take it and throw it down on the floor because that’s the way it stays. NO-COAT®, it’s not that way. You take it and put it right back on that corner. I don’t think you’d be able to do this (ties the NO-COAT® stick in a knot) to regular corner bead and still be able to use it. You can straighten it out, cut it, and put it on the corner. As far as quality of product, NO-COAT® is superior to any kind of metal corner bead on the market.”
DUKE GROSS (Taping Superintendent): “It’s very durable. Probably the most durable product out there, as far as getting hit with something, easy to repair.”
