NO-COAT Structural Laminate Drywall Corner System

NO-COAT® COMPREHENSIVE WARRANTY

STRUCTUS BUILDING TECHNOLOGIES, INC. (“SBTI”) GIVES THE FOLLOWING COMPREHENSIVE WARRANTIES TO PURCHASERS OF SBTI’S NO-COAT DRYWALL CORNERS WHEN INSTALLED PROPERLY PER SBTI’S SPECIFICATIONS IN A SOUND STRUCTURE ON A PERMANENT FOUNDATION:

1. RUST: Up to $5,000.00 per Structure for Necessary Repairs.
NO-COAT® DRYWALL CORNERS WILL NOT RUST DURING THE LIFETIME OF THE STRUCTURE IN WHICH THEY ARE INSTALLED.
Limitations: No mechanical fasteners are required or recommended to install any NO-COAT® drywall corners. If mechanical fasteners are used, SBTI will not cover these fasteners for rust under this warranty. 

2. EDGE CRACKS: Up to $1000.00 per Structure.
NO-COAT® DRYWALL CORNERS WILL NOT EDGE CRACK. 
An “edge crack” is defined as a crack in the joint compound that covers the drywall corner along the two long edges of the drywall corner itself.  SBTI will pay $80.00 for the first edge crack and any other edge cracks in that 10-foot section, and $10.00 a foot after that, up to a maximum of $1,000.00 per structure. NO-COAT® drywall corners will withstand the reasonable forces that cause edge cracking: shrinking lumber and settling structures are the most common of these forces. This warranty does not apply to impacts: even though NO-COAT® drywall corners will withstand impacts that other corners won’t, SBTI has not found a way to measure intensities of impacts and therefore cannot reasonably guarantee against impacts.
Limitations: 
1) All NO-COAT® drywall corners must be installed in strict accordance with the NO-COAT® Warranty Installation Instructions.
2) Edge cracks caused by impacts are excluded from this warranty.
3) All vaulted and off angled ceiling applications are excluded from this warranty.
4) Edge cracks caused by water damage are excluded from this warranty.
5) The structure in which the NO-COAT® drywall corner is installed must be built in accordance with applicable building codes.
6) The warranty is void if the structure in which the NO-COAT® drywall corner is installed has inherent structural engineering flaws.
7) Edge cracks caused by acts of god, tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes, etc. are excluded from this warranty.
8) This warranty applies for a period of two years beginning with the filing of a notice of completion or equivalent document with local authorities for the structure in which the NO-COAT® drywall corner is installed or two years after actual completion of all work on the structure, whichever occurs first.
9) Blisters along paper flange are caused by improper installation and will not be considered an edge crack.

3. DENTS: Up to $1000.00 per Structure.
NO-COAT® BULLNOSE CORNERS WILL NOT DENT.
The warranty provided by this paragraph is limited to NO-COAT® Bullnose corners. SBTI will pay $50.00 for the first dent and $25.00 for every additional dent up to a maximum of $1,000.00 per structure. Dents are caused by impacts. NO-COAT® Bullnose corners are designed to withstand dents caused by most common impacts. When an unreasonably strong impact occurs, the Bullnose corner still will not dent but may crack and SBTI does not warrant against cracks on the surface of the Bullnose corner.
Limitations: 
1) All NO-COAT® drywall corners must be installed in strict accordance with the NO-COAT Warranty Installation Instructions.
2) The structure in which the Bullnose corner is installed must be built in accordance with applicable building codes.
3) The warranty is void if the structure in which the Bullnose corner is installed has inherent structural engineering flaws.
4) Dents caused by acts of god, tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes, etc. are excluded from this warranty.
5) This warranty applies for a period of two years beginning with the filing of a notice of completion or equivalent document with local authorities for the structure in which the NO-COAT® drywall corner is installed or two years after actual completion of all work on the structure, whichever occurs first.

4. FLANGE DEFORMATION: Up to $1000.00 per Structure.
NO-COAT® DRYWALL CORNERS WILL NOT DEFORM ALONG THE FLANGE. 
SBTI will pay $80.00 for the first 10-foot section of flange deformation and $10.00 a foot after that, up to a maximum of $1,000.00 per structure. “Flange deformation” is a term used to describe the result of the metal flange of paper face metal tape on corner bead popping and forcing the dried joint compound out but not cracking it. This occurrence causes an obvious visual deformity on the finished corner, which is aesthetically distracting. Shrinking lumber settling and other movements are typical causes.
Limitations: 
1) All NO-COAT® drywall corners must be installed in strict accordance with the NO-COAT Warranty Installation Instructions.
 2) Flange deformation caused by impacts is excluded from this warranty.
3) Vaulted and off angled ceiling applications will be excluded from this warranty.
4) The structure in which the NO-COAT® drywall corner is installed must be built in accordance with applicable building codes.
5) The warranty is void if the structure in which the NO-COAT® drywall corner is installed has inherent structural engineering flaws.
6) Flange deformation caused by acts of god, tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes, etc. are excluded from this warranty.
7) This warranty applies for a period of two years from the filing of a statement of completion or equivalent document with local authorities for the structure in which the NO-COAT® drywall corner is installed or two years after actual completion of work on the structure, whichever occurs first.

5. LIFETIME WARRANTY AGAINST DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS
SBTI WARRANTS ITS NO-COAT® DRYWALL CORNERS AGAINST DEFECTS IN MATERIAL AND WORKMANSHIP. SBTI will replace with like product, at SBTI's expense, any NO-COAT® drywall corner found to be defective during the life of the structure in which it is installed.

6. GENERAL PROVISIONS
THE ABOVE WARRANTIES EXTEND TO STRUCTURES SUBJECT TO NORMAL SETTLEMENT AFTER CONSTRUCTION BUT NOT TO SIGNIFICANT STRUCTURAL SETTLING OF A BUILDING CAUSED BY SUCH FORCES AS EARTHQUAKE DAMAGE OR FLOODING OR OTHER ABNORMAL STRUCTURAL SHIFTING OR DAMAGE. FOR PURPOSES OF THIS COMPREHENSIVE WARRANTY, "STRUCTURE" MEANS BUILDING.  CLAIMS UNDER THIS NO-COAT COMPREHENSIVE WARRANTY MUST BE MADE IN WRITING AND RECEIVED BY SBTI WITHIN THIRTY (30) DAYS AFTER DISCOVERY OF THE DEFECT. THE ABOVE WARRANTIES SHALL NOT BE ENLARGED, DIMINISHED OR AFFECTED BY, AND NO OBLIGATION OR LIABILITY SHALL ARISE OR GROW OUT OF, SBTI’S RENDERING TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE OR ADVICE IN CONNECTION WITH A BUYER’S ORDER. OTHER THAN AS SPECIFICALLY SET FORTH ABOVE, SBTI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, SPECIAL OR EXEMPLARY LOSSES OR DAMAGES. THERE ARE NO TERMS, CONDITIONS OR WARRANTIES, INCLUDING LEGAL WARRANTY, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, WITH RESPECT TO QUALITY, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR ANY PURPOSE, CAPACITY, LATENT DEFECTS OR OTHERWISE, ON ANY PRODUCTS EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY SET FORTH IN THIS WARRANTY, AND SBTI EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER TERMS, CONDITIONS & WARRANTIES.
